The Gear Equipment ESE 3 RS 1100 is ideal for use where excavations are carried out on pavements, narrow streets and market squares in the town centre. With its low unladen weight, it can even be driven in pedestrian zones without causing damage. The City Suction Excavator has a telescopic suction hose carrier with a maximum reach of 3.55 m which can rotate through a radius of 180°.
The suction hose is 150 mm diameter and is made from a special anti-static material which has a high resistance to abrasion. The side-tipping collecting tank with a capacity of 1.1 m³ enables the excavated material to be emptied straight into BigPacks.
The ESE 3 RS 1100 K is a compact working machine that impresses through its extensive technology, expertise and practical solutions. In addition to the standard equipment with a single fan and a telescopic hose carrier with a range of 3.10 m, the development was primarily focused on the optional circular cutter tool.
With this compact working machine, you are in a position to quickly, effectively and economically create a keyhole. You have all required tools, such as a compressor and water system available on one vehicle. Due to the container that can be folded out sideways, with a volume of 1.1 m³, the material that is sucked up can be emptied directly into a big bag or back into the keyhole to fill it again. This special implementation immediately impressed the English company Hitachi.
The FUSO from Mitsubishi has been chosen as the preferred transport vehicle because of its excellent payload capacity. Depending on the final specification, the unladen weight is approx. 6,300 kg and, in the laden state, approx. 7,500 kg depending on the material. All the power is supplied by the vehicle engine. The vehicle prop shaft drives a flange-mounted intermediate gearbox which in turn drives the hydraulic pumps. The hydraulic pumps supply the single high performance fan, on-board compressor and all other hydraulic functions.
The Mercedes Benz Atego EURO 6 was chosen as a base vehicle. It impresses with a consistent lightweight construction and modern engine technology; the usage-specific drive section helps the Atego achieve top values in fuel consumption, driving performance and overall cost effectiveness.
The combination of small dimensions and installed suction capacity makes the ESE 4 the ideal solution for inner-city excavations in confined spaces. The overall width of only 2.30 m enables narrow streets and small building sites to be negotiated without any problems.
The jointed hose carrier has a reach of 4.10 m and is the perfect choice for this compact workhorse. The machine impresses in everyday use with its capacity of 4 m³ and a tipping axis height of 2.10 m.
The superstructure can be mounted on all twin-axle chassis (4 x 2) with a wheelbase from 4,200 mm, a vehicle width from 2.30 m and a maximum permissible gross weight of 18 t. Depending on the installed suction capacity, the engine must produce at least 210 kW.

The superstructure can be mounted on all triple-axle chassis (6 x 4) with a wheelbase from 4,200 mm, a vehicle width from 2.50 m and a maximum permissible gross weight of 26 t. The engine should be capable of at least 230 kW and have a gearbox with NMV connection. In the case of vehicles without NMV, an intermediate gearbox can be used as an alternative.
The superstructure can be mounted on all 4-axle chassis.
Superstructures on 8 x 4 chassis with wheelbases from 5,100 mm can be used with Tridem chassis from 3,600 mm. The chassis must have an engine with a power of at least 230 kW and an NMV power takeoff. In the case of vehicles without NMV, an intermediate gearbox can be used as an alternative.
The elegant yet functional design of the ESE 8 RD 8000 undoubtedly makes it a winner. The symmetrical superstructure ensures optimum weight distribution and now provides our customers with even more stowage space for optional accessories.
The entirely new cooling concept is incorporated into the top of the hose rack, itself a tried-and-trusted feature located behind the driver’s cab with access from both sides. There are also two dedicated compartments above the stainless steel stowage compartments which provide accommodation for two additional hose extensions.
Variable tilting heights, combined with container emptying from either side, give the ESE 8 RD 8000 a degree of flexibility previously unknown in suction excavators. Regardless of whether the container is being emptied into a storage area, a skip or onto a truck loading floor, it is possible to do so from either side and at various heights, increments and tilt angles.
The new central mounting system for the container and the four supports with automatic levelling system enable the container to be emptied from either side as required. The tilting height can be varied between 1.80 m and 2.50 m. The ESE 8 RD 8000 is equipped with four stabilisers which are self-levelling at the press of a button to ensure an optimum emptying position at all times.
The Gear Equipment articulated hose carrier on the ESE 8 RD 8000 is a completely new design. In order to increase the working range whilst maintaining flexibility, the hose carrier has been given an additional joint and is now mounted in the centre at the rear of the machine. As a result, the working range of the hose carrier has increased by 20% and, for the first time on a suction excavator, is now also symmetrical.

During horizontal and vertical movements, the position of the l ast boom arm along the respective axis is kept constant by automatically re-adjusting the other arms.
